Hatton Academies Trust is proud to work in partnership with Best Practice Network, delivering the Early Career Framework (ECF), recently rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted!  We deliver all aspects of ECF to primary, secondary and special school settings across our region. Please click on the link find out more about the recent changes to the ECF programme structure.

The programme is delivered via a mixture of on-line and face-to-face sessions by expert facilitators from across the Trust.

Not only do the Early Career Teachers receive a range of very high quality provision, but there is a programme of training for the Early Career Mentors which supports and complements that of the ECTs.

We are really pleased to see that the new Early Career framework has been approved by the DfE!

New ECT Programme Structure

"It is very important to us at Best Practice Network that all our ECTs and Mentors receive the highest level of training and support while with us. The programme changes have been made directly due to participant and school feedback and concerns regarding such subjects as:

  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Teacher workloads
  • Timetabling and arranging cover
  • Improving collaboration and discussion
  • Networking with peers

What is the Early Career Development Programme?

From September 2021, the government is funding an entitlement for all early career teachers in England to access high-quality professional development at the start of their career with a view to greater teacher support and retention. Best Practice Network/Outstanding Leaders Partnership is one of six Lead Providers delivering the Early Career Framework nationwide.

Please take a look at the brochure below for further information.
