Our Lead Provider, Ambition Institute, is a Department for Education accredited lead provider of the Early Career Training programme.

By training with us and our Lead Provider, Ambition Institute, your school can access funding by the DfE.

Schools are funded to cover an ECT’s time off timetable and mentor support during the 2-year early career teacher entitlement (ECTE).

Schools are expected to use this to fund the ECTs’ 10% reduction in their timetable in year one and 5% in year two. This provides them with study and mentoring time as they progress through the programme.

Eligibility

ECTs are eligible for funding if they:

  • have obtained Qualified Teacher (QTS) status
  • started induction on or after 1 September 2021
  • work in an eligible school or establishment
